Pepsodent Collaborates with the Ministry of Health to Bring Oral Health Awareness Closer to the Community

KLANG, 28 April 2026 – Pepsodent announced its collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) in support of the World Oral Health Day and World Orthodontic Health Day Selangor state-level celebration, held from 24 to 26 April 2026 at AEON Mall, Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

The three-day public activation offered free dental services, alongside interactive and educational activities designed to encourage better oral hygiene habits among Malaysians.

Held under the wider Kempen 6020 Programme, a strategic initiative under the National Oral Health Strategic Plan 2022–2030, the event reflects a shared commitment between Pepsodent and MOH to bring oral health education and dental health access closer to the community, while reinforcing the importance of building healthy habits from a young age.

“Through this collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Pepsodent is proud to support efforts that make oral health education and care more accessible to families and communities. At Pepsodent, we believe every smile matters and that good oral hygiene habits should start young. By combining free dental services with engaging on-ground activities, we hope to inspire healthier routines and proper brushing techniques, helping Malaysians work towards cavity-free smiles and confidently say #SayAHHH,” said Phoebe Tay, Marketing Lead of Pepsodent Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Dr. Salleh bin Zakaria, Deputy Director in the Oral Healthcare Division, Selangor State Health Department, added,

“World Oral Health Day and World Orthodontic Health Day both highlight how oral health contributes significantly to an individual’s overall quality of life. Initiatives such as the 6020 campaign are not merely health targets, but part of a broader effort to strengthen awareness, encourage early intervention and support better oral care habits among Malaysians. Through close collaboration with government and partners such as Pepsodent, we can help ensure these efforts create a meaningful and lasting impact.”

A key highlight of the three-day activation was the free dental examinations and consultations with eight dental specialists, which brought oral healthcare and professional guidance closer to the public. Younger audiences were introduced to the relationship between food choices and oral health through funinteractions, while family-friendly activities such as busker performances and a flash mob added to the event’s welcoming atmosphere.

Visitors also received free dental kits and Pepsodent product samples, giving them practical support to continue healthier oral care habits beyond the event itself.

Extending Impact Through the 2-2-10 Gigi Lebih Kuat School Programme

Building on this year’s momentum, Pepsodent is also partnering with the Ministry of Education (MOE) through its 2-2-10 Gigi Lebih Kuat school programme, which aims to reach 70 schools and benefit 70,000 additional students in 2026. Centred on the habit of brushing for 2 minutes each time, 2 times a day, for 10 times stronger teeth, the programme is designed to help children build simple but consistent oral care routines from a young age.

The programme includes comprehensive Train-the-Teacher workshops to equip educators with knowledge and tools to promote better oral care habits, alongside Oral Health Care Month activities in schools featuring MOH dental check-ups and free Pepsodent sampling kits to reinforce proper brushing techniques and daily oral hygiene practices.

In addition, Pepsodent will also support MOH Selangor’s annual dental check-up programme for public school students, with more than 100,000 samples set to be distributed during school dental visits.

As the three-day activation came to a close, Pepsodent distributed over 6,580 free dental kits and engaged thousands of Malaysians through accessible dental care and educational experiences.

With the 2-2-10 programme set to roll out in schools nationwide, this marks the next phase in expanding oral health education across Malaysia, with a goal of reaching 1 million students by 2030.
